NWS Holdings deputy chief executive Stanley Hui Hon-chung has announced plans to acquire 20 aircraft for its leasing Goshawk Aviation. NWS owns 40% of the lessor, which is acquired last year. NWS has stated that Goshawk will spend HK$8 billion on buying the planes next year. This confirms Ruth Kelly’s statement to Airline Economics that the lessor will grow by more than to $1bn annually, with a focus on acquiring young, in-production narrowbody aircraft.
