Etihad Airways has sold its 33.3% stake in Darwin Airline, the European regional airline. The news was reported by Reuters who received confirmation from Darwin Airline that Etihad and other investors have sold their shares to a subsidiary of Slovenia’s Adria Airways. The report adds that Darwin Airline will be rebranded from Etihad Regional to Adria Airways Switzerland. The new chief executive of Darwin Airline will be Adria Airways Chief Financial Officer Heinrich Ollendiek. Meanwhile, SMBC Aviation Capital has confirmed the closure of its $500m bond issuance, while Willis Lease also came to the market with a $335.7m fixed rate
