Etihad Airways has dismissed a report that it would take a stake in Air Berlin, following reports it would in a German magazine this week. “The entire report is inaccurate,” a spokesman for Abu Dhabi-based Etihad said. The report has stated that Air Berlin’s board would hold a meeting on Wednesday to discuss the matter. We reported here five weeks ago that Etihad was seriously considering a stake in AirBerlin as were the Chinese via the Hainan Group.
