Copa Airlines closes JOLCO on new 737Max9s

Copa Airlines has secured financing for eight 737Max9 using a $400 million Japanese Operating Lease with Call Option (JOLCO). MUFG was mandated by Copa Airlines as sole arranger and facility agent of the facility for the financing of eight Boeing B737-9 Max to be delivered in 2019. The equity portion of the transaction was underwritten by NBB. This is the first B737 Max-9 delivered by Boeing to Copa Airlines. The delivery of the first aircraft took place on February 22.
