ALCOA TO ACQUIRE AEROSPACE FASTENER UNIT

Alcoa has announced it will acquire the Aerospace Fastener Unit from TransDigm for $240 million.

The acquisition is a part of its $1.27-billion acquisition of McKechnie Aerospace Holdings late last year.

The aluminum producer will be bolstering its fastening systems operations through this acquisition and the company announced it is expecting that this business will increase their earnings and cash flow at the first year after the deal.
