According to a report today in the Financial Times, Airbus is preparing to embark on a new restructuring and cost-cutting plan that will help to minimise losses caused by expensive delays to the A400M, A350 programmes as well as the A380 programme. The restructuring will focus on eliminating duplication of effort between the civil aviation department and the rest of the group. The report suggests that the cost cutting initiative could involve some job losses but nothing has been finalised nor confirmed by the European manufacturer.
