UK airline Monarch has been was judged to be the world’s most efficient airline, at the ITB Berlin travel show. The carrier was praised for its efficient aircraft and high seating density by carbon offsetting company Atmosfair. German carrier Condor, owned by Thomas Cook, ranked second due to its high occupancy levels, with Canadian Air Transat third as the most efficient long-haul carrier.
