TERRA FIRMA LOOKING TO EXPAND FURTHER IN AIRCRAFT LEASING THROUGH RBS ACQUISITION

Terra Firma, the Greg Hands led private equity fund, is considering a potential £4bn bid for RBS’s aircraft leasing business. This would mean that a merger with AWAS is on the cards if all goes to plan. The business is valued at around $6bn.

First-round bids are not expected to be due until the early autumn but Goldman Sachs has been putting out feelers into the market.
