Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has reiterated the government’s committed to its privatization program and suggested that the sale of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) could be finalised by the end of this year. The government is seeking a strategic partner to take a 26% stake in the “core airline activities” of PIA to enable the airline to expand and improve profitability. Those core airline activities include aircraft and routes, which has become a viable company for investment.
