Matthew Minihan; Spring results

It is with great sadness that we relay the following message received today from David Power, CEO, ORIX Aviation:

“Matthew Minihan, our much loved and respected colleague and Chief Financial Officer, died earlier today after a short illness. Matthew had a very distinguished career spanning Aer Lingus, FLS Aerospace and then ORIX. His passion was Munster Rugby (or indeed any rugby) and he was dedicated to the people he worked with and gave so much to, in fact Matthew was the one person in a company who did everybody else’s job before he did his own. Funeral Arrangements are not yet determined but we will know more later with likely days being this Thursday, Friday or Saturday.  For anyone wishing for further details regarding the Funeral Arrangements, please contact myself, James Meyler (james.meyler@orix.ie or +353 872 197 010) or Paul O’Dwyer (paul.odwyer@orix.ie or +353 863 822 960) and we will distribute same as soon as we know. Our thoughts go out to his loving partner Carol, his wonderful family, colleagues and very many friends.”

Airline Economics staff have also known and dealt with Matthew at both FLS Aerospace and ORIX Aviation, he was a straight talking, thoughtful and kind man who helped these offices many times over the years. He will be greatly missed.
