ANA Holdings and Shwe Than Lwin’s Golden Sky World have signed a joint venture to run an international airline following approval by the Myanmar Investment Commission. ANA Holding will hold 49 per cent stake in the airline, which is to be called Asian Blue, although approval from the Ministry of Transport is still required. This deal comes following the collapsed deal for All Nippon Airways to acquire local Myanmar carrier, Asian Wings in 2014. There is no doubting the potential of this airline and its ability to feed the ANA network, but with Air Asia, Malaysia Airlines, Vietnam Airlines, Bangkok
