Virgin America has ordered 60 new A320 aircraft, with the first due for delivery in 2013. The order includes 30 A320neo aircraft. Virgin America has firmed up an initial commitment made to Airbus when the A320neo was presented at the Farnborough International Airshow. With this order, Virgin America’s fleet will increase from 34 aircraft to 111 aircraft by 2019. The 30 ordinary A320s are due to be delivered between 2013 and 2016, while the first A320neo will be delivered in early 2016.
