The US Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration has released the latest data on US citizens’ outbound travel. Trips by US citizens totalled 5.9 million travellers for the month, and 25.4 million for the current year so far. The year-to-date travel was up 11%. US travel to overseas markets totalled 2.91 million, up 9% in May and up 6% for the year. Regional results were: Europe, 1,306,000 travellers, up 8%; Caribbean, 624,000 travellers, up 16%; Asia, 379,000 travellers, up 3%; Central America, 209,000 travellers, up 11%; Middle East, 162,000 travellers, up 12%; South America, 144,000 travellers, up 4%; Oceania, 46,000
