US AIRWAYS IN NEW DEAL WITH TWU

US Airways has reached a tentative agreement on a new, four-year collective bargaining agreement with the Transport Workers Union (TWU) that represents the airline’s 164 flight dispatchers.

“This tentative agreement is a win-win for our employees and US Airways as it recognizes the contributions of our professional dispatchers while ensuring US Airways is well positioned for long-term success in a competitive environment,” the airline said.

“We are very pleased to have reached a tentative agreement with the TWU and thank the union leadership for their dedication and continued partnership with the airline,” said US Airways’ Vice President Labor Relations Al Hemenway. “This tentative agreement is a win-win for our employees and US Airways as it recognizes the contributions of our professional dispatchers while ensuring US Airways is well positioned for long-term success in a competitive environment.”
