A United Airlines 757 caught fire shortly before take-off from Seattle airport Sea-Tac. The fire on flight 776 bound for Dulles International Airport in Washington, D.C, was found in the aircraft’s power unit. A preliminary investigation found that the fire might be traceable to residual oil in the power unit. No passengers were injured in the fire.
