Transaero reports July passenger traffic

Transaero Airlines has released its traffic results for July, in which it carried more than 1.5 million passengers, which is the airline’s highest-ever total for the month of July. Passenger traffic increased by 8% year-on-year. Transaero also recorded a 15% increase in the number of premium class passengers year-on-year. The airline attributed the results to the ongoing five-year development strategy it initiated in 2013 aimed at cost-cutting. The scheme has so-far generated savings of RUB5.9 bn ($169 million).
