Grounded over safety concerns five weeks ago, Tiger Airways now expects to resume operations in Australia on August 6. The Civil Aviation Safety Authority is expected to lift the ban next Monday. The resumption of services will be delayed for a week after the ban is lifted to give it enough time to sell tickets and organise crews and ground staff. CASA will make a final decision on lifting the ban on Tiger within the next 48 hours. However it is expected to place conditions on Tiger’s air operator’s certificate.
