Turkey’s state news agency confirmed that eight people on a Turkish Airlines flight from Istanbul to Tunisia’s capital have been injured when the plane ran into severe turbulence. The Anatolia news agency is citing aviation officials as saying that four passengers and four crew members were injured on flight TK661 shortly before arriving in Tunis on Sunday afternoon. Two of the injured were taken to hospital for treatment of serious though unspecified injuries. 230 people were on board the Airbus A330, which landed in overcast and rainy conditions in the Tunisian capital.
