Thai Airways has reported a 16.1% decline in revenue-per-passenger-kilometre (RPK) compared to May 2013, with load factors of 59.8%. The airline recorded load factors of 66.4% in May 2013. The board of Thai Airways has stated the airline’s results for May 2014 have been affected by civil unrest in Thailand, together with several countries issuing travel warnings. Tourism is reported to have declined by 10.6% year-on-year as a result.
