Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) said it served 1.6 million people during the week-long Chinese Lunar New Year holiday from Feb. 18-24. During the “Golden Week”, PEK handled up to 10,546 takeoffs and landings, up 6.69% year on year. Meanwhile, as many as 1.6m air passengers traveled through Beijing airport, up 7.14% from 2014 Spring Festival holiday. The inbound and outbound travel peaks on 24th February saw daily passenger volume of 274,100.
