STRATEGIC AIRLINES’ HAWAII FARES ONLY AVAILABLE FROM ITS WEBSITE

Travel agents will not have access to Strategic Airlines’ new Hawaii fares on the GDS until the end of August at the earliest due to regulatory requirements. In an advisory to its trade partners, the carrier, which will rebrand as Air Australia later this year, said fares from Brisbane and Melbourne to Honolulu are now available via its website or through its call centres. But it told agents fares will not be loaded onto GDSs for “at least another two weeks”. The period is determined by the US Department of Transportation.
