Chinese-affiliated LCC Spring Airlines Japan has launched its inaugural flight on August 1st, according to its parent company Spring Airlines. Spring Airlines Japan has previously postponed its inaugural flight twice due to delays in its approval from Japan’s MLIT. The airline operates a fleet of three B737-800s on three services from Tokyo Narita to Saga, Hiroshima and Takamatsu. The Narita-based Spring Airlines Japan is 33%-owned by Chinese LCC Spring Airlines, with the rest held by various Japanese investors.
