Spirit’s ancillary revenues up

Spirit Airlines has earned $50 million in fees from carry-ons bags in its first year of the program. Meanwhile, passenger traffic rose too, by 24.5%. Spirit is the only airline to charge for carry-on bags – at $30 per bag, it’s been a success for the airline and not damaged ticket sales.
