Sichuan Airlines plans LAX route

Chengdu-based Sichuan Airlines has now applied to the US Department of Transportation for permission to fly between Chengdu and LA. The carrier currently flies to the US overseas territory of Saipan, and operates trans-Pacific services to the Canadian city of Vancouver. If approved, Sichuan Airlines plans to fly a two-class A350 from Chengdu to LA via Hangzhou, four times a week, and twice a week via Jinan.
