Saudi Arabian Airlines has ordered 12 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, with an option for a further ten. The airline has also formally stated it will be acquiring eight 787s. The airline’s director-general, Khaled al-Mulhim, says the $3.3 billion order is part of its aim to modernise its 82-strong fleet.
