Ryanair to launch “business class”

Ryanair has launched a new “Business Plus” product aimed at corporate travellers.

The range of benefits includes flexibility on ticket changes, a 20kg checked-in baggage allowance, fast-track security at certain airports, and priority boarding and allocated seating.

Ryanair states that business travel accounts for more than a quarter of Ryanair’s passenger numbers. The airline also intends to launch a second GDS partnership imminently, having finalized a deal with e-commerce provider Travelport in March.

Ryanair’s Business Plus offering joins a series of service enhancements the airline has introduced within a programme branded “Always Getting Better”. These include a new app and website, mobile boarding passes, a 24-hour grace period for corrections to booking details, reductions in airport bag fees and boarding-card reissue fees, an increased baggage allowance, “quiet flights”, and a “Family Extra” product.
