Ryanair has announced the opening of a new base in Glasgow, Scotland, with the intention of re-launching UK-domestic flights after a three-year break. The airline will initially operate three flights daily from Glasgow and Edinburgh to London Stansted, starting on October 26th. Ryanair will also operate services between Glasgow and Dublin, as well as a number of European destinations previously served from its base at Prestwick. Ryanair stated that the new routes are specifically aimed at business travellers, with timetables set accordingly. The airline estimates it will carry 850,000 passengers from Glasgow during the first year.
