Ryanair plans to increase Slovakian services

Ryanair is planning to open a new hub in Bratislava, doubling the current rate of passengers from the city, if the airline can come to an agreement with M. R. Štefánik Airport (BTS). Ryanair CEO Michael O’Leary has indicated that the airline may soon reach a deal after a fight over prices, however the executive director of the airport, Ivan Trhlík, is reported as saying that the airport has not yet received any requests or proposals from Ryanair and that the management will not offer a further discount from the fees charged to the airline.
To help reduce the airport’s reliance on one airline –Ryanair – the airport is currently courting other airlines to help diversify this risk.
