The one-day strike called by the Irish Airline Pilots Association (Ialpa) and the broader Fórsa union is likely to go ahead on Thursday July 12 as Ryanair stands by its rebuke of 94 of its Dublin-based pilots for threatening the action. The pilots are demonstrating over what they see as a failure by the airline to improve the working conditions that prompted last year’s industrial action. The airline expects disruption on Thursday but has not yet formally provided notice to passengers, which it has to do by tomorrow afternoon.
