Rotana Jet to fly from Sept 19

Rotana Jet will begin operations on September 19. The new domestic airline, which is owned by former chairman of Etihad Airways, Dr Shaikh Ahmed bin Saif Al Nahyan, will link Abu Dhabi and Fujairah. Rotana Jet operates two ERJ145s and plans to add another aircraft to its fleet in October, and a fourth later in 2012. Next year, the fleet will expand further with the lease of 12 new aircraft.
After the inaugural route to Fujairah, Rotana Jet will launch a service to Al Ain on September 26 and flights to Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah will follow. A service between Abu Dhabi and Dubai is also being considered.
