Nigeria Labour Congress and Trade Union Congress staged a peaceful rally at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos yesterday in protest – the first of three days of planned strikes. Local media reports states that the rally has not disrupted operations at the airport, with airlines operating their flight in and out of the domestic wing of the airport on skeletal basis in the morning because air traffic controllers refused to give the aircraft and pilots clearance to fly. However full operations resumed later in the day.
