QATAR TO INCREASE FREQUENCY OF FLIGHTS TO EAST AFRICA

Qatar Airways has announced it will be adding additional flights to Nairobi and Dar es Salaam, which the airline hopes will provide its business travellers with more accessibility to East Africa.

The Nairobi-Doha flights will increase to 12 weekly, eventually increasing to 14 flights a week by January. Qatar will operate A320 aircraft on the routes in a two class configuration.

Al Baker, chief executive officer of Qatar Airways says: “We are pleased to introduce additional capacity to Africa and offer the travelling public greater options for air travel to and from the region. As part of our growth at strategy, we continue to step up frequency on existing routes, which is a strong lever to facilitate growth in the business and tourism sectors.”
