Qatar Airways reduces Adelaide services

Qatar Airways will reduce its daily direct service to and from Adelaide to five flights a week from October 31.

Qatar Airways chief executive Akbar Al Baker has blamed Airbus for the delayed delivery of aircraft for the need to reduce these services.

The airline will no longer run the service from Adelaide on Wednesdays and Sundays.

“Due to aircraft delivery delays, we will offer five weekly flights from Adelaide to our worldwide network of more than 150 destinations from 31 October, 2016,” said Adam Radwanski, manager for Australasia at Qatar Airways. “Qatar Airways remain fully committed to the Australian market and to the people and city of Adelaide. We will revert to a daily flight schedule for Adelaide as soon as we are able.”
