Russian airline Aeroflot has posted an 88% rise in net income during the third quarter to $543.7 million. Revenues also rose by double digits from $2.4bn in the year-ago period to $2.9 billion this year. Chief Executive Vitaly Savelyev cited the strong performance of its new regional airlines for the large increases. Aeroflot shares rose 3% on the news.
