Tim Clark, president of Emirates, has said its passenger load factor has fallen to 75% from the 82% level it would have expected at this time of year. The fall is the direct result of the increase in political tensions in the Middle East. Clark said Emirates can absorb the loss and is confident its load factor will return to 82% by April. Emirates was one of only a few airlines that continue flights to and from Cairo after the unrest began last month.
