The European Employee Representative Council (EERC), which was set up by Ryanair pilots last year to fight for better conditions, has stated in a letter to the airline calling for the resignation of CEO Michael O’Leary for failing to stem the loss of pilots, reports Reuters, which had sight of the letter. The EERC said that the number of pilots leaving the airline had not decreased since a shortage of standby pilots last year led the airline to cancel 20,000 flights and trim its growth plans, and blames O’Leary for the lack of progress and calls for him to resign.
