Low-cost carriers – Cebu Pacific and AirAsia Zest – are both considering more international and domestic routes from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila and Mactan-Cebu International Airport in Cebu. Cebu Pacific is considering new international routes to Narita, Japan and Taipei from Cebu, while it is also intending to launch flights to Fukuoka via NAIA. AirAsia Zest intends to launch new routes from Cebu to Davao and Cagayan de Oro, and Davao from its Kalibo hub. AirAsia Zest also services flights from Cebu to Manila, Incheon/Seoul, South Korea and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
