PEOPLExpress, which has resumed flights into and out of Newark Liberty International Airport in July, has announced the suspension of service until October 16 due to “aircraft and crew availability and maintenance issues”.  In a statement, the airline states that an aircraft was damaged by a vendor’s truck and a spare aircraft it expected to have is not available. Passengers who had flights booked through October 15 will receive a refund.
