PASSENGER NUMBERS UP FOR ALLEGIANT AIR

Passenger numbers for Allegiant Air in September rose some 25.5% according to reports from the low cost airline. The load factor was also up by 2.1% to 91.9%. Allegiant Air carried 362,519 passengers in September verses 288,761 in the same month in 2009. Departures also rose to 2,697. The airline also reported a load factor of 91.9 percent just last month. Allegiant Air is a subsidiary of Las Vegas-based Allegiant Travel Company, which serves several domestic routes out of Orlando-Sanford International Airport.
