Philippine Airlines (PAL) is planning to acquire seven new aircraft over the next 12 months as part of it re-fleeting program. The airline intends to lease some of these aircraft. PAL president and chief operating officer Jaime Bautista said that the airline will take delivery of five 321s and two 777-300s over the next year for use on its regional and long-haul routes. PAL plans to sell its A340s and replace them with either A350s or 787s – the final decision will be made within the year, Bautista said. PAL currently operates six 340-300s and six 777-300ERs on long-haul routes.
