Pacific Sun becomes Fiji Link

Domestic and regional airline Pacific Sun will become Fiji Link from next year.

Fiji Airways CEO and managing director Stefan Pichler and Pacific Sun general manager Shaenaz Voss said that the rebranding gives a new identity for the regional carrier that will fulfil its role as “an extension of the Fiji Airways network, carrying our customers throughout Fiji and beyond within the Pacific”.

The new name was a result of an extensive exercise in which about 500 people were asked which was their favourite brand.

“We want to talk and listen to our customers, our people and the nation. “That’s why we asked them for their favourite brand. Over 500 people inside and outside the company participated in our surveys and the name ‘Fiji Link’ emerged as the clear favourite with about 60 percent of the votes.

“Fiji Link works on a design level as well as an aspirational brand level.”
