The Nigerian newspaper, The Guardian, is reporting that the country is running out of aviation fuel, with some airlines detouring to Libreville, Gabon, for fuel. It has been suggested that airlines may begin to ration flights to Nigeria during the holiday period, especially when there is no guarantee of getting fuel in neighbouring countries for top-up. Jet-A1 is 100% imported into Nigeria and the price has steadily risen from N104 to N240 per litre in Lagos and as high as N270 in northern part of the country.
