New Stockholm route for BA Cityflyer

From January next year BA Cityflyer will fly from London City to Stockholm. The airline will use one of its two new Embraer E-190s. It originally orders five E-190 jets, as well as six of the E-170 model, with options for a further three 190s, two of which have been converted.

More routes are expected to be announced using the new regional aircraft after the BA subsidiary confirmed it was negotiating with a number of airports for the new services.

Peter Simpson, BA CityFlyer’s managing director, says: “The successful fleet introduction and customer reaction to the E-Jets has given us the confidence to expand so soon after the initial order.”
