New flight attendants union courts WestJet employees

A third-party group of WestJet employees has created a new organisation called the WestJet Professional Flight Attendants Association [WPFAA] and is attempting to grow its membership. Union CUPE has also targeted WestJet flight attendants in recent months. WestJet has stated that it is taking this effort to organize its employees very seriously, and that it “will continue to maintain an open dialogue with our WestJetters to ensure they have all the information necessary to make informed decisions”. The airline is proud of its non-unionized employee associations, with employees having a seat on the board of directors.
