Net loss reported by Chinese carriers in Jan

Chinese carriers has collectively reported a net loss of CNY1 billion ($158.9 million) for January compared to a net profit of CNY1.7 billion last year. Operating revenue fell 10% to CNY28.7 billion, with operating expenses up by 2% to CNY26.2 billion. Although passenger boardings were flat at 25.7 million, load factor fell by 3.1 points to 78.2%. Cargo traffic volume rose however increased by 34.6% to 476,600 tonnes.
