New Indian startups Zav Airways and Air Carnival have both secured No Objection Certificates (NOC) from the Indian Ministry of Civil Aviation. Zav Airways is expected to operate from Kolkata to Aizawl, Bhubaneswar, Ranchi, and Patna using a fleet of Let L-410 turboprops. Air Carnival plans to operate a fleet of five ATR regional turboprops in the southern Indian market. Routes have not yet been announced.
