MIDDLE EAST AIRPORTS REFUSE GADDAFI PLANES TO LAND

Airports around the Middle East have refused to allow aircraft to land that were carrying members of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi’s family.

Beirut Airport in Lebanon denied a request to allow a plane belonging to the Gaddafi family to land, while a Libyan Arab Airlines aircraft carrying 14 people made an unscheduled appearance in Maltese airspace and was also refused permission as it was believed to be carrying Gaddafi’s daughter, Ayesha.
