MAS shares suffering

Shares in Malaysian Airline System (MAS) have declined following its quarterly losses announcement due to the disappearance of flight MH370.  In April, before the losses were announced, Prime Minister Najib Razak was reported in the Wall Street Journal to say that bankruptcy was a possibility. These comments have been blamed for the selloff in MAS shares, which fell by 9.5% on Friday to just 15 sen (US$0.05)
Today some 285 million shares have changed hands.

Last week MAS reported that the disappearance of MH370 expanded its first-quarter net loss by nearly two-thirds to 443.4 million Malaysian ringgit ($138 million) from 278.8 million ringgit a year earlier.
