The management of Malaysian Airlines System (MAS) has informed its 19,755 employees that the airline’s impending restructuring will be far more comprehensive than previous efforts.In a meeting with representatives of the unions yesterday, union members stated that MAS chairman Tan Sri Md Nor Yusof had told them that “there would be a new template for MAS at the end of the exercise.”According to union representatives, the airline’s new template may involve setting up of a new holding company, renegotiations of all employee contracts and a fully non-unionised staff.MAS stated that its leadership had met with representatives of the various employee
