MAS fleet restructuring continues

Speaking to Bloomberg, Peter Bellew, chief executive office of Malaysian Airlines (MAS) stated that the carrier was in talks with unidentified airlines for the sale of its A380s. part of that involves negotiations with Airbus to add in 90 more seats to the current 494-seat configuration to make the aircraft “more appealing” to the second hand market. MAS has leased out its A380s for charter flights between November 10, 2016 and July 6, 2017 to Madinah and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
